DAY 1 | Siem Reap - Arrival

Welcomed by escort tour guide (with sign name) then transfers directly to hotel for check in. Simply enjoy free time at hotel or make your own walking tour around town. Overnight in Siem Reap for 4 nights.

DAY 2 | Full Day Angkor Discovery

We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces, admired by Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm with the stunning tree roots. After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – is the world’s heritage and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history and its ancestral incredible masterpieces. Climb to watch beautiful sunset at Phnom Bakheng (limited allowance).

DAY 3 | Something Unique & Kompong Phluk of Tonle Sap

Head out to countryside for oxcart adventure ride through charming village, see animals & interesting farming/gardening activities. Then visit Cambodian Liqueur workshop where you have a chance to test many different liqueur flavors, continue Artisan d’Angkor – the finest wood/stone carving centre, see the workshop and many various displaying sculptures, carvings, silk products etc. Afternoon, visit Kompong Phluk village – explore houses on high stilts and learn how life works on Tonle Sap Lake, take a canoe for sightseeing around the mangroves.  Evening, experience unique Phare Cambodia Circus show or Apsara dance performance.

DAY 4 | Phnom Kulen Waterfall

Today we begin our tour at 9.00am to visit Phnom Kulen – one of Cambodia’s national parks and a great place to cool off. This hill used to be the ancient capital city and in 802AD – after King Jayavarman II was initiated as the royal “God of the King”. We have a guided walking tour to visit Preah Ang Thom (Giant Buddha statue), it’s a very special and holy place where there are many people religiously respect and pray for happiness. Continue to witness historical site of 1000 linga carvings under the riverbed, see the secret pool where the white clear water source comes out of the ground-pool all year round. Resume the walking tour to the beautiful clear waterfall where we can refresh, bathe and swim.

DAY 4 | Flight to Phnom Penh, Killing Field & Sunset Cruise

Take morning flight to Phnom Penh. After check in, head out to witness the tragic site of Cheug Ek killing field and Tuol Sleng Tortured Prison S21 museum. Stroll around Russian market for shopping. Continue for a guided tour at the National Museum, the world’s most important collection of Khmer sculpture and carvings.

Evening at 4.30pm, we get on board, enjoy welcome cocktail while the boat cruise slowly takes you along Mekong & Tonle Sap River, view the spectacular sunset before having buffet dinner on board. Overnight in Phnom Penh for 1 night.

DAY 6 | Phnom Penh City Tour By Cyclo & Flight to Ho Chi Minh

After breakfast, journey out to catch a cyclo (rickshaw) then enjoy the highlights of Phnom Penh with Independent monument, resume the ride to central market to see daily life of trading then we ride along the riverside to visit the Royal Palace – is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia, Silver Pagoda, Royal Stupas, French style building etc. Continue by car to visit Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding place of Phnom Penh. Transfer to airport for flight departure to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Be picked up from airport to hotel and overnight inHo Chi Minh for 3 nights.

DAY 7 | Cu Chi Tunnels & Saigon City Tour

Breakfast is at hotel. We head out of Saigon city at 8.00am, the journey passes beautiful countryside to a famous region where numerous tunnel-system was constructed – “Cu Chi tunnels” are the unique underground network of tunnels used by Viet Cong during Vietnam War and considered as the most important setting for communication, supply routes, hospitals, food, weapon, caches. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, Continue for Saigon city tour, visit vibrant French influence including Reunification Palace (Independent Palace) is a landmark in the city and was the home of the President of South Vietnam during Vietnam War, City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, War Remnants Museum and admired by strolling around Ben Thanh market for shopping.

DAY 8 | Mekong Delta River

We leave hotel at 8.00am to My Tho, embark wooden boat heading to natural islets along Mekong Delta River, passing peaceful creeks, nice villages and beautiful landscapes dotting with coconut trees. The boat will stop at a few attractive places, you see the large orchard where you’re welcomed to taste different tropical fruits. Continue by rowing boat to explore the surroundings before heading to bee farm for the fantastic sips of pure honey tea while listening to typical folk music. Near the end of the trip, we will visit coconut candy shops, observe people skillfully use rice paper to wrap the candy dices and purchase a few packs of different candy flavors before heading back to Saigon.

DAY 9 | Free Time & Flight to Hanoi

Have the rest of free time in Ho Chi Minh then transfer to airport for flight departure to Hanoi. Simply enjoy free time after check in on the first day in Hanoi or make your first own walking tour in the central city. Overnight in Hanoi for 2 nights.

DAY 10 | Hanoi City Tour & Water Puppet Show

The city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex which features the life of Ho Chi Minh and the nation’s founder, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the colonial Presidential Palace which was originally the French Governor Office and the rural style of Ho Chi Minh’s house. Stop by one of Hanoi’s icons, visit the One Pillar Pagoda – built in the 11th Century. Continue to the Temple of Literature known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070.

After lunch, resume visit a few of Hanoi’s museum including Fine Arts museum etc. Next, head to Hoan Kiem Lake – is the center point of Hanoi whose name is “The Return Sword Lake” that leads to Ngoc Son Temple. Your discovery is inspired by an hour cycle orientation of the Old Quarter with its ancient streets representing traditional trades from the past. Finish the tour at the Thang Long Opera Theatre or Bong Sen Theatre admired by a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show.

DAY 11 | Hanoi to Halong & Halong Bay Cruise

After breakfast, light pack up then transfer to Paloma cruise office, get on board and enjoy welcome drink. After lunch, the cruise slides slowly along the fascinating Halong Bay for sightseeing. Immerse into fabulous scenery of this world heritage site, enjoy the natural beauty, caves, limestone islands rising from the clear emerald waters. DAY 12 | Halong Bay Cruise & Halong to Hanoi

Return to the cruise for Vietnamese cooking demonstration, enjoy lunch before transferring to mainland at noon then catch a private car back to Hanoi.
