Getting to Laos

Laos shares the borders with Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar & China. Tourists can enter and exit Lao through international airports (Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Pakse and Savannakhet), and by border crossing.

Border Crossing: VIP or Public buses are available at the neighboring countries (except Myanmar) and you can get on arrival visa but make sure you have valid passport at least 6 months, one blank page, 2 passport photos and US dollar cash for the processing service fee.

Flights to Laos:
If you have flights from Europe, generally your flights have 1 stop in Bangkok then connect to other flights direct to Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Pakse or Sovannakhet. However, there are flights operating daily from neighboring countries. On arrival visa is available at these international airport and ASEAN citizens are allowed to enter Laos without visa for 15-30 days except Sri Lanka, Sudan, Pakistan etc.
