DAY 1 | Phnom Penh – Arrival & Cheung Ek Killing Field

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by our escort guide and driver then transfer directly to hotel for check in. After check in, we drive to witness the tragic site of Cheung Ek, known as The Killing Fields where hundreds of Cambodian lives were proceeded between 1975 and 1979 under Khmer Rouge, connecting to the Tuol Sleng museum – a former high school that was turned into Tortured Prison S-21.

DAY 2 | Phnom Penh City Tour By Cyclo & Sunset Cruise

We set off at 8.00am to challenge a cyclo (rickshaw) for interesting highlights of Phnom Penh with Independent monument, resume the ride to central market to see daily life of trading then we ride along the riverside to visit the Royal Palace – is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia, Silver Pagoda, Royal Stupas, French style building etc. Afternoon, continue to visit the National Museum; the world’s most important collection of Khmer sculpture and carvings. Then we enjoy guided orientation around Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding Phnom Penh Capital and strolling around Russian market for shopping. Evening at 4.30pm, we get on board, enjoy welcome cocktail while the boat cruise slowly takes you along Mekong & Tonle Sap River, view the spectacular sunset before having buffet dinner on board. Disembark and transfer back to hotel.

DAY 3 | Phnom Penh to Battambang by Road

Breakfast is at hotel. Today we take car through a few provinces to Battambang province. On the way, we will stop for a visit at pottery site in Kampong Chhnang, observe local people producing potteries by hands under their houses. The journey takes approx. 6 hours to reach Battambang province.

DAY 4 | Battambang – Bamboo Train & The Surroundings

After breakfast, we set off to venture the unique experience on the famous bamboo train in Battambang, cruising on the track of the train while enjoying scenic village views. Continue to wander around the infamous Prohoc market “Fermented Fish Market”, observe rice paper making and try the taste of Cambodian rice wine before visiting Wat Ek Phnom – an Angkorain temple built in the 11th century.
Afternoon, drive to have a visit to Battambang winery, process to Phnom Sampov where you enjoy the active walking up to the mountain to see the spectacular sunset, witness the killing caves and watch thousands of bats flying back to their homes.
Evening, enjoy dinner at a selected local restaurant.

DAY 5 | Battambang Tour & Drive to Siem Reap

Breakfast is at hotel. Check out to see Battambang’s morning highlights, take some pictures of French colonial buildings. Continue driving to the fabulous landmark of Angkor Siem Reap. On the way, we stop to visit Puok silk farm where we observe the silk processing and see a lot of finest silk products displaying. Check in and overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 6 | Tonle Sap Stilt Houses & Floating Village

Journey out of hotel at 8.30am to visit Kompong Khleang village – the largest stilt house/floating village situating at the bank of Tonle Sap Great Lake. En-route to taste a few bites of famous traditional bamboo sticky rice, resume observe incense making (seasonal) before arriving at the village then we embark a private boat to explore Kompong Khleang whose daily life is animated by fishing activities, see amazing high stilted houses and floating village. Learn about Tonle Sap ecosystem and witness how people make the lake as home. Evening, transfer to enjoy set menu dinner followed by Apsara dance show.

DAY 7 | Full Day Angkor Discovery

We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces, admired by Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm with the stunning tree roots. After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – is the world’s heritage and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history and its ancestral incredible masterpieces. Climb to watch beautiful sunset at Phnom Bakheng (limited allowance). Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 8 | City Orientation & Departure

Breakfast is at hotel. We head out for guided orientation at the finest Artisan Angkor wood/stone carving centre displaying various defined handicraft and silk products, stroll around old market for shopping and see daily trading. Continue visiting Cambodian Liqueur workshop where you have a chance to test many different liqueur flavors and followed by finger snacks. Enjoy the rest of your free time in Siem Reap before transferring to airport for your flight back home. Goodbye to Cambodia.
